For information about data related to the Dropout Recovery program, please contact:

ENGAGE Allendale is designed to stabilize and improve student attendance and academic performance. The program includes support for the district and outreach and ongoing academic coaching and life challenges support for K-12 students who are completely disengaged, chronically absent, or academically at-risk.

Here’s how it works:

  • The district refers eligible students to ENGAGE.

  • ENGAGE Outreach Counselors connect with referrals and offer ongoing support.

  • High school students who are unwilling or unable to return to campus-based offerings can enroll in the Dropout Recovery program.

  • Participants complete a risk assessment, are assigned an ongoing support level, and begin working with a personal mentor.

  • The mentor provides students with ongoing academic and life-challenges support.

  • Graduation Alliance returns data to the district.

ENGAGE Resources
Dropout Recovery

Dropout Recovery provides a comprehensive, online program with robust supports to Allendale youth who left or are at risk of leaving high school without a diploma. Students engage in online learning so they can succeed in earning an accredited diploma from Allendale County Schools.

Here’s how it works:

  • The district refers at-risk and disengaged students.

  • Graduation Alliance uses a multi-modal strategy to reach out to referrals and ENGAGE referrals who said they couldn’t or wouldn’t return to in-person school.

  • Graduation Alliance develops a learning plan for each student.

  • Students complete online courses facilitated by state-licensed teachers.

  • Students receive academic and life challenges support from Academic Coaches and Local Advocates.

  • Graduation Alliance returns data to the district.
